What measures are being taken to raise the profile of Open Awards?
QCF qualifications carry the status of a nationally accredited qualification, not the status of the Awarding Organisation. Many Awarding Organisations offer exactly the same qualification; the difference is in the service, support, assessment methodology and the cost of the qualification. Employers will recognise the title of the qualification rather than the Awarding Organisation – they too are involved in the development of the qualifications.
Open Awards are a respected accredited Awarding Organisation both by other Awarding Organisations, Employers and Providers. We work alongside all other Awarding Organisations and Employers to develop qualifications and National Occupational Standards.
