Open Awards Functional Skills qualifications will provide a platform to further achievement and learning through the development of fundamental, applied skills in each key subject area.
The Functional Skills qualifications are designed to assess the development of skills in practical everyday contexts and real life situations.
Open Awards Functional Skills qualifications are available at Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2 in English, Mathematics and ICT
Each qualification is separate and assessed independently. Functional skills subject criteria for English, Maths and ICT specify the skills standards, coverage and range for the qualification at each level.
